• Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) is the only carrier in the individual market offering a PPO option for 2017. 

• BCBSIL will be the only carrier allowing access to NorthShore and Northwestern medical facilities in the individual market. 

• You will not have access to the large PPO network including some of the major teaching hospitals (Rush and University of Chicago) if you are enrolling in an individual health plan in 2017. 

• United HealthCare will not be offering any individual health plans this year.

• Land of Lincoln has gone out of business and will officially close it's doors on January 1.
